The Emergency Department is a fast moving patient care delivery system that requires the careful coordination of all care providers in order to assure that each patient receives the highest quality care. Care needs to be efficient, effective, and safe. Playbooks that describe each team members roles are vital to assure seamless teamwork. Playbooks eliminate ambiguity and assure that every task required by the team is assigned, and that there is no redundancy.
